General Admission Requirements to UNILAG DLI
You must meet the following criteria to be eligible for a job:
Categories of Applicant Eligibility
- The University of Lagos or any other university recognized by the Senate with a degree in a relevant discipline.
- Individuals with a Higher National Diploma, National Diploma, or National Certificate in Education in the relevant discipline.
- All full professional qualification holders (including ACA, ANAN, and ACCA) may be eligible for advanced-level entry. However, they must have five credits at the ‘O’ level, which includes English language, mathematics, economics, and two other relevant subjects.
- Candidates who have completed WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO credits (‘O-Level’) in five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sessions.

Candidates in categories 1 to 3 are evaluated based on their transcripts. They must also meet all the requirements for Category 4 (the ‘O’ Level).
During the application process, candidates must correctly enter and upload all WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO “O” Level examination numbers and certificates. Send your advanced qualifications, such as degrees, HNDs, NCEs, ONDs, and professional qualifications, along with your application number.

The Guide to Applying for UNILAG DLI Admission
General Information
The application will be conducted in two phases: Part-Time UNILAG Registration and DLI UNILAG Application. DLI candidates must have attained the age of 16 by 31st Oct 2023. Admission is subject to the number of applicants who meet the requirements.
The printout of the ‘O’ Level result slip and those awaiting results are unacceptable. Only WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO certificates obtained before 2020 will be accepted.
Application Stages
Stage 1: JAMB registration
- To register for part-time, visit the JAMB CAP website.
- The registration number is available for N3,500.
Stage 2: DLI UNILAG application
- Access the UNILAG Application Portal.
- Start a new application.
- Select Distance Learning Institute for the application type. Fill in all required fields.
- Pay online N17.500 or by bank transfer.
- Continue the application after payment.
- Upload all required documents
- Print a copy of the completed application for your records.
- Please submit your application before the 15th of December 2021.
Preparatory Course Mandatory
Before the final enrollment process, all applicants must complete the Applicant Induction Course (AIC).
